Helsinki: Café Palestine

Welcome to the first Café Palestine in 2025 on Sunday 12th January 4.30-7.30pm @ cultural center Oranssi, Suvilahti. 🇵🇸☕️ You can come to warm up in the cafe after the Sounds of Starvation -demo ends. Tea and coffee will be served with some small snacks. You are all warmly welcome and feel free to invite your friends too❤️

This time we are joined by the team behind the Laki Särmään (Law On Point) citizen initiative, which aims to regulate arms imports to Finland. The team will give us info and tips on how to discuss about this initiative with people. Though arms exports are regulated, there are currently little to no regulations on arms imports, and the state of Finland is indeed a major importer of arms from Israel.

Oranssi’s entrance, event space and toilets are at street level and are accessible with support devices of all sizes. However, some higher doorway thresholds and sloping ramps may be difficult for people using manual wheelchairs. The toilets are gender-neutral.
