Kuopio: Candlelight March for Palestine

The genocide carried out by Israel in Palestine has claimed the lives of over 44,000 people. 1.9 million Gazans are internally displaced, with 1.6 million forced to live in tents exposed to floods caused by the rains. Come show your support for Palestinians and remember the victims. This demonstration is a silent march, with no speeches. You are encouraged to wear dark clothing and bring a candle or another light source.

Demands:

🕯Finland must immediately call for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza

🕯The genocide of Palestinians must end; Finland must support South Africa’s genocide case in the ICJ

🕯Finland must end arms trade with Israel

Please bring only flags of Palestine, Lebanon, or Finnish organizations, along with signs supporting the message of the demonstration. We don’t allow racist (including antisemitic or Islamophobic), sexist, or otherwise discriminatory texts and symbols.
