The speakers
✨ Shahd Wadi @shahdwadi is Palestinian among other possibilities, but freedom is mostly Palestinian. She tries to find freedom in what she does, travelling between writing, curation, research, translation, performance and art consultancy. She sought her resistance through her PhD thesis in Feminist Studies at the University of Coimbra in Portugal. Her doctoral thesis has been published as a book entitled “Bodies in a Bundle: Artistic-Life-Stories of Palestinian Women in Exile” (2017).
✨ Laura Junka-Aikio @junkaaikio is a Politics and Cultural Studies scholar and Professor of Northern Politics and Government at the University of Lapland. She has studied Nordic colonialism in Sámi lands as well as the politics and representation of the second Palestinian intifada.
