Francesca Albanese is an international lawyer, serving as UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in the occupied Palestinian territory since May 2022. A former UN official, she is an affiliate scholar at the Institute for the Study of International Migration at Georgetown University, and a senior advisor on Migration and Forced Displacement for the think tank Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD).
Tamam Abusalama is a communication expert born and raised in Jabalia Refugee Camp in the Gaza Strip, currently based in Brussels, Belgium. She is a contributing writer for various online media outlets, including Mondoweiss and Electronic Intifada, where she focuses on personal testimonies and issues related to Palestinian rights, and social justice.
Budour Hassan is Amnesty International’s researcher on Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory, currently focusing on Gaza.
The discussion will be moderated by Ida-Emilia Reini, Sumud board member.
