World Improvement Days 2026 – The role of trade unions and retail stores in boycotts against Israel

BDS Finland, Palcif (the Palestinian Community in Finland) and Nahlieli (Jews for Justice in Palestine) are organizing two presentations on how trade unions and grocery stores can support justice for Palestinians by applying the principles of the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement. The presentations explore the role of trade unions in opposing Israeli apartheid through collective power and the opportunities for grocery stores to adopt ethical procurement policies, including excluding Israeli products from their selection, as part of nonviolent consumer and company action.
