Sumud is organizing three Palestinian Arabic courses in autumn 2026. Two of the courses are open to everyone interested in learning the language, and one is aimed primarily at Palestinians and participants of Palestinian background. The courses are intended for adult learners.
General Course Information
- Content: The courses focus on spoken Palestinian Arabic and oral communication skills. In addition, we will learn about Palestinian culture, traditions, and the question of Palestine.
- Format: Online distance learning. Each course accommodates 10–12 students. The course includes 10 sessions, and teacher Muhammad Abu Ramouz will provide all learning materials. The supporting language of instruction is English.
- Fee: €50 per course (payment instructions will be sent upon confirmation of a spot on course). The course fee covers the teacher's compensation.

- Time: Fridays 17:30–19:00 (9 Oct – 11 Dec 2026)
- For whom: Beginners; requires no prior knowledge of the Arabic language.
- Beginner Course 2 (Continuation Course): Register for the course →
- Time: Tuesdays 17:30–19:00 (13 Oct – 15 Dec 2026)
- Kenelle: For those who already know some Palestinian Arabic; ideal for participants who completed Beginner Course 1. In addition to spoken skills, this course also includes writing practice.
- Course for Palestinians and people of Palestinian background | Register for the course →
- Time: Fridays 19:30–21:00 (9 Oct – 11 Dec 2026)
- For whom: Aimed primarily at Palestinians and participants of Palestinian background. We aim to group participants with roughly similar skill levels. Also a good course as a continuation course for participants of the previous course for Palestinians.

- Registration closes on 21 September at 23:59.
- Due to limited capacity, we cannot guarantee a spot for all applicants. Participant selections are made based on the responses in the form, so please fill out your details carefully.
- All applicants will be notified of the selections by 29 September.
